Add/Edit Qualifier lets you create or modify the qualifiers for a specific Z39.50 set. For each qualifier, you can define values for six attributes used in searches. For each attribute, you can define a numeric value based on the Bib-1 attribute standard. These attributes are the fields that may be specified when making a search request.
Z39.50 Set Name
Displays the name of the Z39.50 set for which you are adding, editing, or deleting qualifiers.
Qualifier Type
Specifies the type of qualifier that you want to add. You can add these types of qualifiers: Subject, Series, Uniform Title, ISSN, Title, ISBN, Author, Notes, Keyword, and LCCN.
Note: This information does not display if you are editing a qualifier.
Completeness
Specifies the degree of completeness of the data in the field or subfield that you are requesting. Enter the numeric value that corresponds to complete or incomplete data in a subfield or field.
You can enter one of these values:

Position
Specifies the position in the field or subfield where the data that you are requesting is located. Enter the numeric value that corresponds to the position of the data in the field or subfield.

Specifies that the data appears in any position in any field. |
Relation
Specifies the relation of the data to the value of the Use attribute. Enter the numeric value that corresponds to the relation that you want to specify between the data in the record and the data specified by the Use attribute.

Structure
Specifies the structure of the data in the field or subfield that you are requesting. Enter the numeric value that corresponds that indicates whether the data is a phrase, word, or year.
You can enter one of these values:

Truncation
Specifies the truncation of the data in the field or subfield that you are requesting. Enter the numeric value that corresponds to right or no truncation.

Use
